We are two girls at Horsforth sixth form that are on a mission, to fly out to Borneo and help those less fortunate than ourselves.
We are raising money, with a goal of £3000 which we must reach in the next year. This money will send us out there for a month in summer 2017 where we will be helping in various local villages to improve the living standards of many men, women and children.
We will be going with the company Camps International, who organise many trips like this every year, giving people like us the opportunity to help change lives!
We are going to be:
• Digging foundation and laying bricks for new homes in the village of Mantanani
• Reforesting habitats along the Kinabatangan river
• Developing the local kindergarten in Bongkud to allow the children to begin in education
We are hoping to be able to reach our fundraising goal by doing many events over the course of the next year.
