Update: We are heartbroken to let you know that Buddy has sadly passed away. His condition continued to decline as they gave him love and nursed his wounds at home. He was taken to the vets yesterday (16th June) and had a heart attack as they tried to insert an IV. Ria and grandad want to say thank you to everyone who cared, making donations and sending their best wishes. He was dearly loved and we are so sad that he couldn’t fight anymore.

This week my grandparents little westie Buddy was attacked by two dogs outside of a Tesco.

My grandparents would never ask for help and are the kindest people I know. After the vet care Buddy needed and will continue to need, I was hoping people might be able to contribute a small amount to help them out.

Thank you for everyone’s concerns about them, Buddy is doing okay after surgery but is still very distressed and covered in stitches.

My grandad dived on top of Buddy to protect him which shows just how much their little dog means to them. They are literally inseparable and we are very lucky to still have him.

I live far away from them so I just wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone who looked after them all in such a distressing situation and showed them such kindness.
