Story

In the summer of 2019, I will be fundraising my way to Borneo which will give me an opportunity to live and work as part of the community by helping local people improve their living standards in a sustainable way and supporting various conversation efforts to safeguard the future of some of the worlds rarest and most impressive wildlife such a orangutans.

As a school expedition I will do this by building classrooms for children who are less fortunate than the education here in the UK.
This will also give me an opportunity undertake a PADI open water scuba diving course and earning extra UCAS points.

On the trip we will Visit the world-renowned Sepilok Orangutan Sanctuary where we will see orphaned and injured orangutans before they are released back into the wild, And we will Take an impressive commute to life-changing project work as we jump on board a boat and set off down the Kinabatangan River, spotting wildlife along the banks.

Also we will Embark on a 4-5 day trek through the jungle, surrounded by exotic wildlife, Sleep in a hammock beneath a jungle canopy and gain a new perspective on life as you visit poignant memorials to World War II soldiers, And have the chance to learn essential jungle first aid and survival techniques whilst mastering fascinating traditional skills.

This would be an opportunity I would never forget, by changing other peoples lives for their future. I would love to have this opportunity as I am so grateful for my life and would love to give back to the community of Borneo to change their lives for the better.
