In 2006, in Uganda, a young father of two and husband Robert Ochieno Otim was on his way to his home town Lira in a car. About 15 miles to his destination, Roberts car was involved in a horrific accident with a trailer. He should have died but by Gods grace he survived. Doctors did everything they could to save Robert, but his spinal cord was so damaged that he has been left paralysed and bed ridden ever since. For over 11 years now Robert hasn’t walked, hasn‘t played football with his children, hasn‘t danced with his wife or done simple things we take for granted.

But he has inspired thousands in Uganda and internationally. I am one of the people that have been touched by Robert’s life and I want to raise funds to provide a platform for Robert to tell his story, for kind people like you to donate towards Roberts’ living and medical upkeep! The Ugandan government does not have arrangements to support people like Robert, neither does the wife have a well to do job, all she can do is be available for the husband and family and provide whenever she has the means to.
