I've raised £1000 to renewing of vows, creating life long memories for a family that are going to lose two of their children to a fatal deterioration illness

I recently discovered a friend with 3 children is facing the stark reality of saying goodbye to two of them due to a fatal deterioration disease, which severely reduces life expectancy - there is currently no cure. The disease is causing accelerated deterioration in his daughter, 12, and the effects of the disease are starting to show in his youngest child, 6. My heart ached immediately. I discovered the only reason he was currently working was to renew his vows with his loving wife and all the children to be there before it’s too late. I’ve four children myself and I can’t imagine how he feels. I do know how important creating experiences and memories are together as a family. This man is a joy to be around and I would never have known this man carried the weight of the world on his shoulders due to his ability to fight on and get done whatever needs to get done. He is the kindest nicest most giving selfless individual I have ever met and to think regardless of everything he is that way. Anyone reading this will know anyone would struggle to cope with such a situation and I personally don’t know how I would cope or how this guy is the person he is today the stress and pressure must be phenomenal and these people deserve to be able to spend the time they have together in the most special peaceful happy way, to create those memories we all take for granted due to having a life time together. At the moment he is spending precise time away from his family to fund the renewing of his vows – I want to change that. I want to make sure they get the wedding of their dreams, that isn’t a big fancy wedding, that is all of their children being present, to cherish that moment of them all being together forever. I hope we can all spare a small amount to make this happen and hopefully raise enough money for them to create other loving memories such as family days out, activities filled with laughter. Please help me secure the memories they deserve. Thank you for your time.
