Why Funraising?

Funraising is a Manchester-based journalistic platform that aims to share stories and events from the field of fundraising. We talk about issues that matter, and the local community in a creative and interesting way. We also give people the opportunity to get their voices out in the world. Everyone has interesting thoughts and important things to say. Funraising amplifies many voices, not just a select few.

We also put on special, bespoke events in support of organisations. By creating memorable experiences for people, we've generated a lot of buzz around the organisations that we support, and also what they stand for.

In the past we've supported Love for the Streets, Oxfam, CALM and many other charities! And we're keen to support more, and make a bigger change.

Why do we need your help?

We have lots of plans for creative and collaborative events and other fundraising activities that need some funding! For example, ArtBox exhibition/auction for Manchester Mind is just around the corner, as is the after party PostBox. We have plans for poetry/art/music crossovers e.g USB sticks with electronic music inspired by poetry, and a merchandise line around art from local artists. Although many of our artists and creatives are working really hard for free, it costs money to get them the resources to work with, and also to get the word out so that everyone can enjoy their work.

We've got a whole team on the creation of some amazing events and wares, and we're doing it all in support of good causes. To see through change, we need to make our presence felt, so please think about giving us a couple of pounds!
