Story

Imagine if everybody donated just £1!!!

Hi,

We are Jordan and Paige, young Birmingham based producers and entrepreneurs :)

Mainstream education doesn’t always encourage children to go into creative fields, we want to celebrate the diversity and accessibility of arts in the UK and bring to light the importance of creative skills in this contemporary working age.

Future Artists Festival will be an exciting day festival for children ( 5-15 years) and their families, planned to take place at Millenium Point, Birmingham in April 2019. The day will be a means for exploration and fun as well as signposting and supporting families to gain a broader insight into the artistic opportunities available in the Birmingham region. Everything from film, craft, dance, theatre, music and poetry will be presented as workshops alongside a line-up of vibrant performances.

We are passionate about working with local individual artists from an array of backgrounds as well as larger arts organisations in the Birmingham region/West Midlands.

In line with our values we do not want cost to be a barrier for families attending the festival, therefore we will not be charging for tickets in order to make the festival as accessible and inclusive as possible. We recognise that some artistic and creative practices do not traditionally appeal or welcome all children and families and this is something we are trying to combat.

No matter how big or small your donation, your contributions will go towards supporting the future talent in Birmingham and very existing local artists!

Thank-you,

Jordan & Paige x
