Weʼre raising £10,000 to Fund a new vertical farm that may help hundreds if not thousands receive locally grown, cheap and environmentally sustainable veg.
Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.
The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.
The future of the world is a troubling prospect. Population is increasing, making food ever more scarce and climate change is increasing, making crops potentially more vulnerable.
The solution is indoor vertical farming. If I were to tell you that crops can be grown more locally (as in directly in the city), take up substantially less space, can be grown without pesticides, can use a tenth of the water and very little electricity you'd tell me I was mad.
Well, this is the future! In 20 years this will likely be the reality of farming. I propose getting started sooner rather than later and I need your help to do it.
I realise this won't be everybody's idea of an ideal donation but believe me when I tell you that this not only benefits me... Indoor farming will also allow for cheaper produce which enables the savings to be passed on to the consumer. The purpose of this campaign is to enable me to invest in the equipment needed to start this venture.
If an idea of a bright, healthy and fresh future excites or inspires you, I hope you'll donate.
