Story
Rockhall, a semi-rural district in St. Andrew, Jamaica, has a high incidence of single parenthood, low employment and is economically depressed. Lack of opportunities for participation in fun, educational, hands-on creative activities leave school children vulnerable to a range of nefarious activities particularly during the ‘summer’ holidays.
Fyah Place, a creative arts space, will be offering a two- week summer school in creative arts culminating in a theatre production for 20 children aged between 7 and 10 living in Rockhall.
Engage students using hands on creative art production. creative writing, drumming, costume building, pottery, storytelling and creating a public performance to showcase their talent. http://fyahplace.com/
