    Story

I first met Gabby on the Access course at college. She was a sharp and wickedly funny woman whom I had numerous conversations about social change with regards to issues surrounding the Transgender community.
She touched the hearts of many people and we want to give back.

On the 20th of November, we were informed that a much loved member of the community, Gabriel Tinto, had ended her life.

In her first few weeks at college, Gabby was a target for bullying from a group of individuals for the sole reason that she was a transgender woman.

Gabby was a huge advocate for education, particularly of young people, so in her honour we want to raise money for Transgender Awareness and Anti-Bullying campaigns. The chosen charities are Stonewall and BulliesOut!

Alongside me, Gabby's college tutor Sue Bailey plus her course mates Katey Roberts, Madison Barton-Skeates and Natalie Jones are organising an event with Salisbury Art's Centre on the 20th November, which is also Transgender Remembrance Day, and ask that if you can't attend that you donate whatever you can spare for this worthy cause.
We believe that education and awareness are key to making changes for the future.

Rest in peace, Gabriel. You will not be forgotten.

      Update from the Page owner

Ignore this number, on the week of the 14th of November, we managed to raise over £1000 for both BulliesOut and Stonewall, in memory of Gabby Tinto. Huge thank you to anyone who donated, both their money and their time. All that's to be said is to watch this space as we'll be gearing up for another, much bigger, fundraising event at the end of this academic year!
