I've raised £1000 to help towards funds for children's entertainers/musicians to visit children on Ward 76 at Manchester Children’s Hospital.

A very close friend of ours Victoria Louise Burns Morrison’s little boy Gabriel was born in April of last year and diagnosed with Congenital Nephrotic Syndrome.
This is a kidney condition that begins in infancy and typically leads to irreversible kidney failure (end-stage renal failure) by early childhood meaning that he will need to have a kidney transplant at some point in his early life. He is currently undergoes 4hr albumin infusions every day on Ward 76 at Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital. This year I am challenging myself (and roping in my husband, mother-in-law and friend!) to do the double marathon walking straight through (which is in total 52.4 miles) in order to help raise money to give to Ward 76, who make it possible that Gabriel is still here with us today and continues to fight this condition like the fighter he is. The nurses, doctors and play specialists offer the utmost care on a day to day basis to ensure Gabriel and all the other children admitted onto Ward 76 are looked after and always offer their full support/ time to the parents going through some really tough and difficult times. I am hoping to raise at least £500 as a thank you and to help pay for children's entertainers/musicians to visit the children on the ward and hopefully some craft items so that the children and parents have things to help make their stay on the ward, whether it be a day visit like Gabriel or an overnight stay a little more bearable.
It would be great if all our friends and family could dig deep and sponsor this cause, it really does mean alot to help put a smile on a childs face.
