I am raising £1,000 to travel to Peru as a volunteer in summer 2019, to help the poorest communities in the country and improve their quality of life. This is a truly inspirational project which has already impacted on the lives of over 103,000 people!

I will be;

-helping generations of children and babies by building a new school classroom and kindergarten

-constructing vitally needed community housing from local materials

-improving the health of a whole community by installing and developing local amenities

-creating a communal greenhouse to provide vegetables all year round helping to combat hunger and malnutrition

-replanting indigenous plants to offset environmental damage and deforestation

-digging irrigation channels to bring water from the mountains to nearby farms and houses; providing a more consistent supply of water to people, crops, and animals

why Peru?

-54% of rural communities live below the poverty line

-33% of under 15's are employed rather than at school

-18% are malnourished and lacing fresh fruit and vegetables
