    Story

I am raising money because following a trip to Gambia, I was overcome with the poverty of the country, I spoke to several local young Gambians who all had their own stories; which consisted mainly of lack of food, education, opportunities, unsafe living accommodation and a sense of hopelessness. In desperation, many Gambians seek to escape to Europe by boat at the cost of risking their lives and many have died as a result. The tragic thing about this is many of these young Gambians wish to die because they see no way out of their situation.
