Story

Special needs education is severely under funded. Our children are fantastic, but need significant investment in specialist resources to help them understand people, objects and the world around them. We would love our children to have access to a state of the art sensory/immersive room with light, vibration, smells and heat/cold to help them to really make their senses come alive.

We are 3 special needs teachers (and very amateur cyclists!!) and we have decided to ride 150 miles Coast to Coast in 1 day (9th July 2022) to help raise funds for specialist sensory equipment. An iconic route cycled by hundreds of people every year, usually over 4 or 5 days. But we thought about doing it in just 1 day?

This is a stunning but brutal 150 miles with 4500m of ascent road ride from the mountainous Western Lake District, through the Yorkshire Dales, across the flat Vale of York and finally the Northern Valleys of the North York Moors, finishing by the sea in Whitby.

Please donate what you can, share the link and laugh at us trying to complete this!!!
