    Story

We would like funding to do the Second series of 'The G.A.P Kids Show' a Christian kids comedy sketch TV/Web show aimed at 6-12 year olds. The show showcases kids standing in the gap for other kids by teaching them how they can be a child of God at home in school and out in the community through sharing the good news of the gospel, creating modern day interpretations of Bible stories and lessons, through fun dance, drama, music sketches and more.

We are also looking for funding for The Knowledge Gap is a social action project targeted towards teenagers & young adults, which explores The Knowledge Gap between right & wrong, fact & opinion, black & white, young & old, male & female, Christianity & Islam and the list goes on. The purpose is to educate young people and give them a voice to discuss grey areas where by reasoning’s are usually mediated, regulated or diluted at home, in schools, in the community and in the media.

The show would be broadcast online and on a Christian Television network and feature youth from the local community.

Both shows are needed as it was prompted by the children we work with in G.A.P Academy (A Christian Stage-School). The children wanted to be able to create a show where they can feature in and also have creative control in terms of writing and coming up with sketches that could educate other children about God, something which they would enjoy. They wanted their voices to be heard and their talents to be showcased. Most importantly they wanted a Platform for ministry to bring their non-christian friends to learn about God.

Parents of the Children we work with also saw 'The G.A.P Kids show' as a tool to help them learn about God. The show is needed so that the gospel can reach young people in an exciting way that the young people can relate to. In the world we are living in, its is difficult for young people to even have or find their faith; as their moral compass is constantly being tested in everyday life.

The production gives the young people a voice and a way of being a steward for their own generation, making a positive impact within their friendship groups, families and communities. Their is a lack of positive/inspirational programming as well as faith based and educational programming within the media that children can access. So far over 3000 people have watched season one of The G.A.P Kids Show online.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nF2q0hTrU58&list=PLzdx7Hl_k0jMwCgMRhgSsRpWXIARIYhj4

This project is needed to give children an opportunity to see good representations of themselves in the media and also give them the opportunity to develop new skills in performing arts which they otherwise wouldn’t get and give them a platform for progression in ministry.
