The Northern Ireland Assembly has a unique Mandatory Coalition System which was designed 20 years ago to encourage Power Sharing across the Community between the Nationalist, Unionist and other traditions. However it now needs to evolve into Normal Voluntary Coalition Politics to allow the current Stalemate to end and for it to get on with serving and helping ALL of the People. We need to raise awareness of this and lobby the Secretary of State, Karen Bradley, to change the necessary Legislation in order to allow this to happen.
