Hello, i'm going to be carrying out the Leeds 10k run to help support our local Football. For those that know me, an overweight 19st bloke, this is going to be a tough run in order to help our great team. As you may be aware sport isnt cheap to run and participate in. For children to participate in any sport this day and age it requires alot of expense from a parent to fund their activities. Whilst some parents the expense isn't a problem, for some parents it is a lot to find with the growing costs of living today. Here at Breightmet United Under 11's, we ask for a small monthly cost and nothing else to help towards running the team. This cost provides a bare minimum of funds to develop our children in grass roots. It isnt just sport but inclusion for all, an oppurtunity for a common love to bring together a diverse group of children into a team. It encourages social skills, time keeping, respect, mental development and alot more. We want to use this common love to give these children oppurtunites that they may not get in life including other social activities like climbing, visitting other areas of the country not just to play football, but to experience different cultures. If we can we would like to go abroad and experience new things there. All this requires our support for the children. Some people are too proud to ask for help and i'm here to ask for yours to support our local community make a massive difference to the lives of 30 children and going. Your funds go fundamentally to providing kits, training wear, and personal equipment for individuals in order to be able to participate. After this it provides funds for opputunities and from my heart i can tell you it makes a massive difference. thanks for reading and every bit really helps.
