I've raised £20000 to To help fund a charity I volunteer for. Linjoy Wildlife Sanctuary and Rescue. It needs a massive boost of funds to care for wildlife

I have recently started volunteering at the sanctuary based in Etwall in near Burton upon Trent. Lindsay set this up 12 years ago based on her love for wildlife. She cares for hundreds of birds and wild animals such as Swans, ducks, geese, pigeons, deer, foxes, rea, tanukis, hedgehogs and many others. She works 365 days a year up to 15 hours a day caring for injured, sick and orphaned wildlife. The work is back breaking especially in the rain and snow.
we are badly in need of funds as we rely solely on donations. A new van is needed as the one we have is about to break down as its done 235k miles. Vets bills of over 6k need paying, new homes to be built, electricity supply connecting and hundreds of other jobs. She will never euthanize and creatures that can be saved as long as they have a quality of life. Many other charities will do as they wont put the money, time or love in to these animals. She is a true inspiration, she hasn't had a single day off since she started the sanctuary as there is nobody else that has the knowledge or skills to put all the birds in at night to avoid the foxes.
I have decided to help raise funds by trekking to Mount Everest base camp. I will be trekking through the Himalayas for 2 weeks from Katmandu and reaching Everest on day 9. I will be doing this in April and have funded it with my own money costing a total of £5k. All donations will go to Linjoy Wildlife Sanctuary.
I have 6 months to get fit for this epic journey but with the support of you and the motivation of help raising money for the sanctuary will make this much easier.
Please find it in your hearts to support this cause and help us continue to provide a safe environment for all wildlife over many years.
Here are some of the animals you will be helping.
Thank you so much for any donation, every penny will go on the continuing care of all wildlife and we will greatly appreciate it. Linjoy Wildlife Sanctuary and Rescue
