According to its creator, this thing is the closest a human being can get to skydiving without actually leaping from a plane.

From where I’m going to be dangling, I’d say it’s closer to being Superman - with a hefty dose of Eddie the Eagle.

It involves flying face-down, head-first, for a mile or so at up to 100mph down a mountain - eeek! - and then - yeeeurrrgh! - straight over a cliff, out across a lake and finally - thwack! - crashing into a powerful shock absorber a few feet above the ground.

All funds raised will be split equally between Chesterfield Sea Cadets & Mansfield And District Community First Responders

To purchase equipment that is much needed by both of these charities.

Chesterfield Sea Cadets - Whether at sea or on land, the Sea Cadets offers young people across the UK amazing opportunities for personal development - by learning new skills and working in teams - we offer an environment where young people find new confidence and inspiration.

Mansfield & District Community First Responders - are members of the Community who volunteer to respond to Emergency Calls through the 999 system in conjunction with The Ambulance Service and NHS Trust. Community First Responders provide care to patients in their local area before the arrival of an Ambulance or Paramedic. They also have an active role attending emergencies and also teaching the public to help save lives! The scheme are frequently presenting training and awareness sessions with community groups or at events. We can show you how to use a Defibrillator, CPR and First Aid.
