£720raised of £1,000 target by 25 supporters

Weʼve raised £720 to assist with bills and general living expenses while Gareth is out of work after his accident.

Funded on Thursday, 15th November 2018

    What is crowdfunding?

Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.

The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.

    Story

On Monday 16th July, Gareth and his brother were out for a ride on their motorbikes.

A car came around the corner on the wrong side of the road, to avoid a head on collision with the car Gareth swerved to avoid being hit. As a result of this he lost control of the bike, and was thrown from the bike into a ditch, he then had to pull himself out and flag down a passer by for help. (The car in question, failed to stop!)

Gareth was taken by ambulance to hospital, he has extensive injuries as a result of this accident and is very lucky to still be here!

He has fractures in his lower back, a fractured pelvis in two places, internal bruising, and internal bleeding as a result of this accident. Obviously Gareth is in an immense amoint of pain, and its going to be in hospital for a while yet, he is lucky that at the moment he doesnt have to have surgery on his pelvis.

However he won’t be able to walk for 6 weeks and his is going to be out of work for at least the next few months, maybe longer.

Gareth doesnt want to be a burden on anyone, and doesnt like the fact I am setting this page up, but in all honesty he is going to need help to be able to support Katie and Esme too.

Any anount would be massively appreciated and extremely helpful.

    Thank you!

Gareth is now out of hospital. But it’s still going to be a long road to recovery. Thanks to everyone that has been brilliant and contributed to help Gareth out and show tournament support. It’s nearly pay day guys, please show him your support and that you are thinking of him, by making a donation, it doesn’t matter how big or small, it will be massively appreciated as Gareth is out of work until his injuries heal, and he needs to pay bills. Thank you.x

It’s Gareth’s birthday today, and not only is he spending it in hospital, he is waiting for an X-ray today as the doctors have decided that he may need surgery to pin his pelvis after all. 😞 Thank you so much to everyone that has contributed so far xx
