Story

Last year i lost me best mate we were cousins that should of been brothers, and that’s what we classed ourselves as brothers. From the day we started to walk until that day we said goodbye he even followed me into the army yep We did everything together In 2022 darryl started having issues with his stomach, and after various tests he was diagnosed with stomach cancer. At first he was told it vould be operated on but not long after we got the devastating new .. 12-18 month sadly after 10 month i watch “wor kid” pass away. The last 10 days of his brilliant life we (myself jaimie his wife and of course darryl) were spent at st bedes hospice at the QE hospital we were at his side only leaving him to go get showered And changed. but the team at st bedes were worth their weight in gold. I dont know how they do ut day in and out they were a credit to the hospital and humanity. so as a thankyou to them and also a bit focus for me to help me deal with the void and darkness ive decided to enter the Hamsterley Beast. Which is advertised as a funduro mountain bike ride (somthing darryl enjoyed doing) Its not until may and training started on monday all money raised will go to st bedes so wish me luck and in thoses faithful words “all be reet”
