I'm raising £2,000

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On Sunday, May 10th, I’ll be setting off on a 500-mile walk from St Jean Pied de Port in France, over the Pyrenees, to Santiago de Compostela in Spain. I’m doing this to raise money for causes that mean a lot to me: Survivors of Bereavement by Suicide, Andy Mans Club in Berwick, Berwick Cancer Cars, and the Special Forces Medical Support Association. Every step I take is to raise funds for these amazing organisations, all donations will go directly towards them, I am not using any of the money to fund my trip.

Andy Mans Club made a lasting impression on me. From the moment Kev greeted me at the door, I felt welcome. The kindness of him, Gaz, Hattie, and everyone there was second to none. These were people I grew up with, people I thought had it all together—yet many had faced struggles I would never have known about. This charity runs free, peer to peer support groups for men aged 18 and over. Its main aim is to provide a safe, non judgemental space where men can talk about issues and pressures in there lives, helping to reduce stigma around men's mental health and prevent male suicide

Berwick Cancer Cars supports people traveling to vital cancer treatment appointments. Many patients face long, stressful journeys, and this charity ensures they aren’t alone. Volunteers provide transport, practical help, and emotional support, making a real difference every day.

Survivors of Bereavement by Suicide provides care and support to those grieving the loss of someone to suicide. They offer understanding, guidance, and a safe space to process the pain that can feel unbearable when you’re left behind.

Finally, the Special Forces Medical Support Association exists to support serving and veteran Special Forces ( 22 SAS, SBS, SRR, SFSG and their reserve units) medical personnel and their families—people who often serve in silence, without recognition, and beyond the reach of conventional welfare systems. It is member-led and entirely volunteer-run.

All of these organisations share one thing in common: they support people when they need it most, some often quietly, without fanfare. What we see on the surface isn’t always the truth—those laughing, joking, and carrying on may be struggling inside. Lives are being lost, and it’s not just statistics—it’s people we love, people we might not even realise are suffering

Even £1 can help. Skip a pint, a packet of fags, a coffee, or a pastie—and donate to causes that truly save lives. Businesses willing to support this walk would also make an incredible difference and be hugely appreciated.

If you’re a business and can support or sponsor this walk, it would make a huge difference and be massively appreciated.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for donating, sharing, and supporting this challenge. You’re not just backing a walk — you’re helping keep people alive, supported, and not alone when they need it most.
