🌳 Help Us Plant a Living Memorial to the Heroes of Arnhem

The Arnhem Oak Project

In 1944, thousands of young Allied airborne soldiers left Lincolnshire and flew towards Holland — many never returned.

In 2026, we are bringing part of them home.

An oak tree grown from an acorn gathered at the Arnhem Oosterbeek War Cemetery — where British and Allied Airborne soldiers lie — will be planted and consecrated in towns and villages in Lincolnshire, the wartime home of the Parachute Regiment and Allied Airborne Forces.

They will be known as the Arnhem Oaks — the beginning of a living memorial that will grow for centuries.

We are asking for your help to make it happen.

🌱 Why the Arnhem Oak Matters

This is not just another memorial.
It is a living link between sacrifice and future generations.

Every Arnhem Oak begins life in sacred soil, grown from acorns gathered where the fallen rest in Holland. When planted here, it creates a direct connection between:

where they trained

where they fought

and where they are remembered

Long after stone memorials fade, these trees will still stand.

🎓 Inspiring the Next Generation

Local schools will take part in remembrance and learning programmes linked to each Arnhem Oak.
Young people will not just read about courage — they will walk past it every day.

They will learn about:

Service

Sacrifice

Duty

Freedom

These trees become outdoor classrooms of history, pride and character.

🤝 Bringing Veterans and Communities Together

The Arnhem Oak Project brings together:

Veterans and serving soldiers

Families and school children

Local communities

Our Dutch friends who have tended airborne graves since 1945

It strengthens bonds, combats isolation, and keeps the Airborne story alive where it belongs — in the heart of the community.
