I've raised £300 to help towards a target of £30,000 to provide a disabled access bedroom & bathroom extension for 10 year old Emma from Maltby.

10 year old Emma suffers from a hereditary condition known as Von Hippel-Lindau syndrome (VHL). VHL is associated with tumors arising in multiple organs including hemangioblastomas, which are blood vessel tumors of the brain, spinal cord, and eye. She was first diagnosed with a brain tumor 2 years ago but since then other problems have developed resulting in her needing 24 hour waking care. To make this possible a total of £30,000 is desperately needed to fund a disabled access bedroom & bathroom extension at her family home in Maltby, Rotherham.
As part of the fund raising efforts I intend to
1. Participate in a charity cycle ride to Scarborough & back with other members of Tickhill Velo Club (TVC) on the weekend of 8th June 2019. Whilst other members will be riding the 200 mile return journey over 2 days, I intend to do it in a single day
2. Complete a mega endurance cycle sportive known as the Yorkshire Beast on 22nd June. This comprises another 200 miles ride in 1 day but also includes 17,000 feet of climbing including most of the most challenging hills in Yorkshire, if not the country.
