Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Hi, I am George, and in May half term I will be attempting to climb mount Snowdon in Wales with family and friends to raise money. This will be my first mountain and at 1085m high it will be a huge challenge!

I am hoping to raise £1,000 for my school, Woodside Academy. These funds will help to create a new sensory room and enchance our current one, for my Woodside friends and me. My school means the world to me, everybody there has helped me to florish and I am coming on leaps and bounds!

Woodside is a popular special academy offering provision for autistic 4-19-year-olds with a wide range of learning needs including complex needs. All of our learners have an Education Health and Care Plan, (EHCP), and a diagnosis of autism. We are all ambitious for each individual all of the time and value trust, honesty, respect and kindness. Our calm, welcoming and purposeful environment ensures that children and young people are happy and confident and can therefore make the most of every opportunity to learn. At woodside children of all ages succeed and achieve and develop greater independence and autonomy as they journey through the school. We are building a community of learners, fully inclusive of the most disadvantaged, who are resilient, independent, creative and kind. We welcome and celebrate diversity and are inclusive to all.
