Story
Professional footballers are prone to over 640 stressors during their career. They play under constant pressure and their performances are scrutinised by managers, coaches, players, media and fans. In addition they experience the same life events as the general population. Mental health issues can affect 1 in 4 of the population and these issues can be amplified in footballers. I aim to deliver mental health awareness presentations/workshops aimed at professional footballers and in addition offer individual support where appropriate using my experience as a mental health nurse
