I've raised £500 to support the Social Investment Fund’s COVID-19 Community Charity Appeal and the States of Guernsey’s COVID-19 Response Appeal

Sunday 21st June would normally be the day of the traditional Butterfield Father’s Day Half Marathon. This has regrettably been postponed because of the current public health emergency. However, Gavin St Pier and Steve Falla intend to mark the day by running the 13.1 mile course in any event. Given that we are not yet out of the woods in terms of the coronavirus or its impact on our community, we will be running to raise funds for the 2 appeals: the Social Investment Fund’s COVID-19 Community Charity Appeal and the States of Guernsey’s COVID-19 Response Appeal. https://covid19.gov.gg/support/appeals
The Social Investment Fund is co-ordinating an appeal to provide funds for charities who play a vital role in the Bailiwick’s coronavirus response and those providing key services who have seen funding reduced because of the economic impact of the pandemic.
The COVID-19 Response Appeal is to support frontline workers, medical equipment and the hardship schemes that were set up to provide financial support to those facing difficulties because of the economic impact of the pandemic.
