My names Gavin & I'm a Vlogger from London. Recently I encountered a viral video on a "Comedy" Facebook page that displayed a young prostitute girl getting verbally abused by an elderly man and hit with a stick in the street because he wouldn't pay her for a sexual service he had obtained from her, all whilst an onlooker filmed it.

I looked through the comments on this page and noticed that the vast majority of them were laughing and ridiculing the girl which made me so upset as this young girl is somebodies Daughter, somebodies Mum, somebodies Sister, somebodies Aunty, somebodies Cousin and somebodies best friend. Nobody knows the girls story from that short clip but are so quick to assume she is a bad person or that she is less of a person than themselves. I did a video on Facebook in response to this desensitisation towards peoples misfortune that I'm seeing more and more on the internet as it bothers me a lot, that we as people can be so dismissive and can have so much lack of understanding when witnessing somebody else's pain.

I have set up a JustGiving fund where all proceedings will go to an organisation called "Manor Women's Project" which is based in Walsall in the West Midlands. It is comprised of four terraced town houses that are linked to combine a unique urban environmental facility for homeless, vulnerable women with significant “class A” substance misuse needs. Many of these women worked as sex workers to feed their addictions.

I have seen many instances of addiction throughout my life as well as Mental Health and it is something that I hold very close to my heart. Since seeing that video of a vulnerable girl in the street I started up my Vlog to try and create awareness of scenarios people don't seem to try understand and talk about things openly & positively that people often dismiss or don't think about.
