Story

Saying this still doesn't feel real. I lost my Beautiful Grandma McVittie last week.

She's was my Grandma and my best friend, she played a massive part in my life and I'll miss her everyday. She had an amazing life, a huge family (8 Children, 21 Grandchildren and 15 Great Grandchildren!!!)

My Grandma was diagnosed with Arthritis at 57 years old. She struggled for years with the pain but she did it with determination and a huge smile. She was part of The Arthritis Group which she bloody loved. She recently celebrated a milestone her 90th Birthday, she was a fighter.

On Saturday the 14th July I’m going to cycle 127 Miles from Liverpool to Leeds in her memory. I want to raise awareness of Arthritis and raise a few quid for those like my Grandma who rely on their support. For those without this Charity wouldn’t have had the enjoyable adventures she had. She travelled to Edinburgh back to her home town in Wales but most important every week they got together good a good all chin wag!

She made amazing friends and had the best experiences, that she would have never had without The Arthritis Charity. But Mostly I’m doing this in memory of my loving and ever smiling gorgeous Grandma. Dorothy McVittie.

She was such a special person loved more than I can put into words. Someone who brought happiness with such a special touch. Someone truly wonderful who I’ll miss and love forever.

Rwyf wrth fy modd i chi am byth. Mae'r un hwn ar eich cyfer chi.
