Unfortunately I suffer from a form of Motor Neurones Disease, things are starting to get very difficult for me both physically and mentally, this pales into Insignificance what Rob Burrow and his Family had to endure. Sadly we lost Rob in June after his Unbelievably Brave Fight. He not only left a mark on me but I'd say people throughout the World. That's one Special Guy!!! There's a saying, Behind every Good Man there's a Good Woman, never a truer word spoken with Rob's Wife Lindsey.. She Nursed and looked after Rob and there 3 young Children, never moaned, often helping to Raise Awareness herself by Running Marathons whilst caring for Rob. She is simply Amazing... No Family should have to see what there family have!! There Rob's Words. My hardest day to day challenge is Walking, recently I was told my Muscles would be alot better if I started using an Electric Wheelchair, this news has hit me very hard. But I feel the only way to deal with this is be brave like Rob was. So on Sunday September 1st I'm challenging myself and my Body to walk a Half Marathon from my Home in Littleborough through the Hills of Saddleworth to Dovestones Reservoir.. I want to honour Rob's Memory and keep banging the Drum tiil we find a Cure for this Horrible Disease. It wrecks lives and it just isn't fair. Your welcome to support me by either Donating for Lindsey and the Children to help them do something of there Choice. I think they absolutely deserve to know that we are all here for them.. I will be Visiting 7 Pubs/Bars to raise a Glass in Rob's Memory. 7 being Rob's Shirt Number in his illustrious career. Listen I know Kev ( Sinfield) pretty much has Saddleworth and the UK to himself and Rightly so!! But it's good to help and try and do my bit. Thanks Gaz x
