Unprecedented times call for unprecedented fundraising!!!

This year has, as we are all too aware, brought many changes to our lives. This is why as the Year 5 Class Reps we have made the bold/brash and some might say ballsy decision of incorporating the use of a donations page as our fundraiser for the GBSA!

The school would like the opportunity to invest in more outdoor facilities to accommodate the children through these tricky times, so that if current COVID 19 restrictions tighten, then the school is able to continue providing education to as many children as possible. The aim is to create built in benches outside as many classrooms as appropriate and also to move the gazebo from its current location, to a more useful space to create an outdoor classroom. We are also continuing to fundraise for a Wellbeing Community Centre in the playground. Primarily this will be used as a space to support positive mental health, provide a parent liaison room and used ad hoc as a meeting room etc. We are sure most parents would agree that this sounds like a good way forward!

With this in mind we hope you might be able to contribute in any way possible to the donation page. Although the GBSA intend to run fundraisers throughout the year, the big annual fundraisers can't take place such as the Spooky school disco which is normally an amazing fundraiser (circa £800 last year). Perhaps you would normally buy tickets/Halloween outfits/a much needed glass of wine for the adults(!) at the disco and you would like to donate this to the fundraising page instead. Let's not forget all the fundraising we missed out on last term too (ice lolly sales, sports day, school ball etc).

Please feel free to send on to grandparents or other family members who may not have been as involved in their grandchildren's/children's lives as they might have liked over the past 6 months and this may give them a way to contribute to the happiness and stability of future generations to come without having to come into close contact.
