    Story

Martin our friend and team mate went home to Ireland to work for a few months in July to be near his father. He had played Reserve football with us at Harlesden Harps in London and had togged out for the London Masters also.He was a passenger in a works van that was involved in a serious traffic accident in County Louth.Martin was in a serious condition after the accident and only that he was a strong individual the doctors said he wouldn't be with us today. He has fought bravely for his life over the past few months and only now is turning the corner.Three weeks ago his condition wasn't so good and with doctors advice his family were left with no choice but to have his leg left leg removed. This was a very hard decision for the family as we all know Martins great love of playing GAA.Martins family are working towards getting Martin airlifted back to St Marys Hospital in Paddington, London for his continuing intensive care and rehabilitation and to be closer to his loved ones and family. There is an 18 month waiting list for the rehabilitation unit in Dun Laoghire in Ireland.
