Story

This group was purposefully set up for Nottingham and Derbyshire area's residents to go out on the city streets and meet homelessness head on and help unfortunate people get their lives back.

These projects will include taking food clothing and sleeping bags to the homeless people directly whether on the streets or at the hostels each week.

We also are running our own mobile soup kitchen in Derby every Friday night.

Where we are feeding homeless people directly and giving them sleeping bags, advice and just being a friend to talk to.

It's our aim at Gears of Goodwill to eventually have a charity shop and cafe with somewhere for homeless people to have a shower and a hot meal and get advice.

We want to raise the profiles of homeless soldiers and help them get the professional support. We will be pointing these people to Soldiers off the streets who are highly experienced in this field. All this will hopefully build strong ties and friendships.

Also we hope to host a band, beer bangers and mash nights throughout the year, this also will raise money for a local charities and help homeless soldiers and young homeless teenagers get off the streets.

Dates will be announced asap. These will be open events for anyone to attend more the merrier 😀😁

Our aim at GOG is to help others less fortunate than ourselves.
