On 24th November 2017 Gee Smith was murdered close to his own home in finchampsted in cold blood by Anthony Wheaton. Anthony stabbed Gee 6 times resulting in Gee’s Death. Wheaton then fled the scene leaving Gee to die.

Gee was 29 years old. The youngest son of Karyl and Ted. Gee had his whole life ahead of him. Those who knew Gee would know that he was one of the kindest, loving, genuine and happiest of people you could ever wish to meet. He loved and lived life for his friends and family. It’s impossible to find the words to express the kind of person that Gee was, and the great impact he had not only on those around him but anyone in which he crossed paths with.

Gee Smith was a Son, Brother, Uncle, Father figure and Friend. Gee was a kind, loving, warm hearted man who was brutally murdered in cold blood. Gee was one hell of a man.

Antony Wheaton is a cold blooded compulsive lying MURDERING COWARD!

On 8th June 2018 this countries justice system disgracefully let Gee’s murderer walk free from court without any punishment of his actions that night what so ever. Despite all of the evidence that was stacked up against the killer and even after he had admitted to stabbing and killing our Gee which he “claims” was self defence?! #NotTrue The prosecution evidence that was presented at the trial was overwhelmingly in support of the murder conviction, Therefore we cannot understand nor comprehend how the jury managed to get the verdict so devastatingly wrong in allowing Gee’s murderer to walk free and not be held accountable for his actions which resulted in Gee’s death.

How is this MONSTER who destroyed so many life’s in one night is able to walk free?! How on earth was this man was found not guilty and free to walk out of court is truly disgusting! It a absolute disgrace that Gee’s MURDERER is free to walk the streets while Gees family are suffering in excruciating pain. Gee’s family and friends deserve some justice! Gee deserves justice!

Our Gee was murdered by Anthony Wheaton. Anthony Wheaton stabbed Gee six times which twice were to the heart. This ultimately resulted in Gee’s death. Wheaton claims that Gee had run into the knife while punching him, and that stabbing Gee was self defence. The whole devastating attack happened within 36 seconds, from Gee entering the address and Wheaton fleeing the scene. This was all caught on cctv. Wheaton didn't hand himself in to the police for over 4 hours which in that time he had drove quite a distance, had a shower, changed his clothing and disposed of the knife that was used to murder Gee. The knifes location is unknown as has never been found nor turned into the police.

The overwhelming evidence pointed to murder and Wheaton admitted to lying in his police statement about certain things that happened that night. Gee was found with no defence wounds. He had no brushing to his knuckles. Nothing but the 6 fatal stab wounds that Wheaton inflicted upon Gee.

Gee’s loved ones had to endure a long and excruciatingly painful 3 weeks in Reading crown court, listening to all sides and having to watch cctv of Gee’s final movements. The 12 jurors served a great injustice by finding Wheaton NOT guilty to murder and NOT guilty to manslaughter. Wheaton was however found guilty for driving whist disqualified. Which he was sentenced to two months imprisonment.

However, he didn't have to serve any further time in prison as he had already served 7 months while on remand for the murder. He got a 2 year driving ban and then WALKED out of court a free man to continue living his life however he pleases although he stole a life from another. The verdict has been incredibly difficult for all of his family and friends. The smiths are completely shattered into a million pieces knowing that our amazing Gee’s killer is walking free with no care or remorse!!

There is now a long, difficult and painful battle ahead of us to fight for the justice that Gee and Gee’s loved ones deserve. We will NEVER give up. We shall FOREVER stand TOGETHER! We WILL get justice and we WILL be campaigning, appealing to the highest courts and doing whatever’s in our power in order to get a judicial review and retrial.

We owe it not only to Gee but to our own children, families and the community that we all live in to fight to get this huge injustice corrected. The jury’s incompetency to understand the laws and failure to deliver any sentence sounds out a very troubling message and is completely disgusting at a time where knife crime is dramatically increasing throughout the UK. We need to stand together not only to get justice but to ensure our children and community is safe! We will NEVER accept the jury’s decision and we WILL fight! We will not stop campaigning for a retrial.. for justice. For Gee. For all victims of knife crime 💙
