Story

As many of you know, we spent 6 months working at St Francis Hospital in Zambia, a fantastic institution providing free healthcare in a rural part of the country.

When people required oxygen they used poor quality oxygen concentrators, which can only provide a very low concentration of oxygen and amount to little more than placebo.

There are plans to build an oxygen plant at St Francis which would allow them to make their own canisters of oxygen and provide it at much higher concentrations; this can be life saving for people with advanced pneumonias, TB and a myriad of other lung diseases.

The charity “Friends of St Francis“ is funding a large proportion of it, so we made the decision to use our wedding presents to help their cause.

We are very grateful for any contributions and cannot wait to celebrate with you in September!
