Weʼve raised £185 to go on a World Challenge trip to Norway in July 2018. We are expected to pay for our own trip by doing sponsored events & fundraising.

    Story

A group of year 7 & 8 girls from Presdales are going to Norway in July 2018 as part of a World Challenge Expedition. The cost of the trip is £1750 & we are expected to pay for the trip ourselves (or as much as we can).

I am doing a 5km run on Sunday 4th June in Harlow & on 16th July I will be doing the London to Southend bike ride which is 52 miles.

I have been washing Dad's bike every week & have done cakes & sweet sales at school but I am still a long way short.

Please sponsor me & help me to go on this fun & exciting trip.

    Thanks

I must be mad. Me & Dad are only doing another 50 mile bike ride!!! This Sunday we are doing a Norwich circuit ride. My backpack will be full of flapjacks to keep us going. Fingers crossed for good weather.

So I did it. Four & a half hours. Absolutely exhausted but it was great fun, until the last five miles. Dad's already looking for our next big ride but i'm not ready for another one yet. Thank you to everyone that has sponsored me. I am very grateful. PS I beat dad x

One week to go. We did our last training bike ride today, 27 miles. It's hard in this heat but we have lots of stops for drinks (& Dad buys me lunch, which always helps motivate me). I've spent the afternoon washing my bike & changing the tyres & inner tubes. And yesterday, Dad bought me proper cycling shoes. Think I'm all ready for next Sunday. Fingers crossed xx

Good luck Gemma. Make sure you finish before your Dad and that he buys you a big fizzy drink during the ride!
