Story

We are raising money for medical treatment that is not available in Wales. Cain is currently travelling back and forth Bristol Children's Hospital daily to receive intense rehabilitation for the stroke he unexpectedly suffered .
Cain could not have been a more sporty teenager. Cain lived for the outdoors. Spent every single minute out on his beloved bike. Cain suffered a stroke whilst out riding his bike up Maerdy Res. Due to huge bollards blocking the entrance of the Res Cains medical treatment was severly delayed. Due to this fact alone Cain has suffered Brian damage that is life long. Cain requires daily intense rehabilitation which he is currently receiving at Bristol Children's Hospital. Due to Covid the lack of staff, fiance and resources means that Cain is getting nowhere near enough rehabilitation to aid a full recovery. It is vital that the rehabilitation takes place within these early weeks/months. There is simply not enough staff to facilitate the care he needs. Cain suffers daily panic attacks and is extremely anxious. Myself and Cains Dad are with him 24 hours a day. We both cannot work. The cost of private rehabilitation are crippling, although we feel we have no other option as the treatment on the NHS is simply not adequate.
