I've raised £450 to Motor Neurone disease (MND) Association.

Last December a colleague of ours Nick Smith lost his life to Motor Neurone Disease (MND). Nick was a real character and liked by everyone at work, he was young, outgoing, always had a smile on his face and had time for everyone. Rarely a day goes by without us thinking or talking about Nick at work . He was a sportsman, he loved rugby which helped a group of us decide we wanted to raise money for MND by doing a physically challenging event, we would raise that money by doing the race Nick had previously done The Great North Run..... half marathon, 13.1 miles in honour of Nick, we are not runners and this will be a challenge for all of us Gemma, Amina, Emma and myself, but we are determined to get round!!!!
So please donate anything you can to this cause and give us that support to Keep Running!!
There is a 1 in 300 risk of getting MND across a lifetime. It can affect adults of any age. MND can affect how you walk, talk, eat, drink and breathe. Some people also experience changes to their thinking and behaviour. However, MND affects everyone differently. Not all symptoms will affect everyone, or in the same order. Symptoms also progress at varying speeds, which makes the course of the disease difficult to predict. MND is life-shortening and there is no cure. Although the disease will progress, symptoms can be managed to help achieve the best possible quality of life.
