Story

Gemma's Borneo Expedition.

My 14 year old daughter has a passion for animals and the natural world. Following a talk at school, she and others have been invited to take part in a Camps International expedition to Borneo in the Summer of 2019.

The trip is 4 weeks long, during which Gemma and her chums will undertake a range of humanitarian and conservations projects. These range from building school class rooms to replanting the jungle to preserve orangutan habitat to costal clean-up to help sea turtles. It's hard work, but the pay off for Gemma is some jungle adventure and the chance to gain a PADI Scuba qualification. All of this is valuable experience for Gemma for her chosen career path.

To achieve this, Gemma has to raise the cost of the expedition which is £4350. The cost covers all aspects of the expedition from travel to security, with 35-40% of the total cost incorporated into the projects undertaken whilst Gemma is in Borneo.

Please help us get Gemma to Borneo, it would mean the world to her.
