As a family we are trying to raise as much money as we can to split between two causes, Everton in the community and JFA Berlin U10s football team.

In the last 3 years, I have had cancer twice. I was diagnosed with non-hodgkin lymphoma which relapsed after 18 months. The second time I was given a stem cell transplant and spent time isolated in hospital and many months seriously unwell. This, along with the deaths of some close family members, had a massive impact on my young son.

We were extremely lucky to be helped by Everton, who arranged a surprise school visit and mascot experience with Georgie's favourite player Jack Grealish.

His football team were absolutely amazing during my illness and everyone helped us massively. From simply checking in to picking him up for all of the sessions I was too ill to take him to. This was a great outlet for him to be able to let go and be himself while surrounded by some of his best friends. JFA as a club where also a big support to us both.

Football is literally his whole life and I am so greatful to the team, club and Everton.

Now I am on the road to recovery, I would like to give a little something back and want to raise money for both causes. For EITC, as they are an amazing charity who help so many people within the community in many different ways, across all walks of life and to help JFA Berlin fund their team adventure to play in the Flamingo Land football tournament next year, giving all of the boys an adventure they will never forget.

Georgie will be running 5k, date tbc.

My dad will be running the Everton 10k in October and 1 week later will be running the 57 mile Ultra Marathon in Scotland from Glasgow to Edinburgh.

We are looking at other ways to fundraise and will update this page with any new activities.
