To find a point in this journey to start telling you is hard. Stewing over asking people for donations, then I thought I have donated towards helping out subjects close to their hearts, people will understand... Well here I am asking for your help back with something, someone close to my heart.

Her name is Gillian Mackie. A young women, animal lover and a dear friend. The turn of 2017 has not been very kind. Strangely we both at the end of 2016 had the same symptoms, pain, discomfort in our bellies, drained all the time...the two ended sword showed itself and sadly Gillian was hit hard with the most sever end.

At Christmas Gillian was taken into hospital, quickly removing a huge mass on/and her ovary. Results came back for her and it was Cancer, somewhere in her body it was there.

Gillian was taken into Ninewells, 8weeks and still there trying hard to stay positive and focused on her aim to recover. Gillian has ended up having both ovaries removed along with her uterus, her spleen, appendix (where they think the cancer has started) and a small part of her intestine.. She was then put into a coma and given a course of heated chemotherapy. Wakening with drains in her chest and abdomen its pretty clear she was sore and hit the bottom.

Finally Gillian has made it out of ICU and HDU drains are now out and feeding tube has been removed... it's time to heal now my friend.

I'm doing a 5k colour run on the 23rd Sept (I only run to the fridge)
I want to run and raise some funds in the hope that I can make a wish come true for Gillian. She only dreamed of a healthy life, taken a trip to Peru to trek through the rain forest and climbing Machu Picchu. I hope I can help her do this, so she can stand right at the very top and look forward to a "new chapter"
