Zac and Ella both have heart conditions and are pupils at Ysgol Yr Hendre. Zac is 4 in the Reception and will be starting full time in September. Ella is 8, in year 4. Along will the other pupils, staff and parents, they would benefit grately from knowing there would be a defibrillator on site If ever needed. Zac has had three open heart surgeries at three days old, five months and three years old. Ella has had one at three months old. Both are treated at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital. Their hearts affect their daily lives and they will continue to be monitored and treated for the rest of their lives. They both need further surgeries but to look at they both look as normal as the friends and other pupils at the school.
