It all started from visiting a local Albox, spain market, where I saw a sign for a puppy rescue. Being from the UK you don't ever see puppies for rehoming. They are all adopted/reserved within the first 5 minutes of being on the rspca/battersea website! But here was a pen of 6+ puppies having a good old play together in a market. This charity is amazing. They have opened a shop to fund the care of these puppies and the rehoming process. There are puppies being brought in every week just sat at this rescue centre needing a good home. That day I visited three 5 week old puppies had been just left in a box at the market waiting for the charity!
All the puppies there were well socialised and they encouraged me to go in and have a cuddle. Which I of course did and had a good play with these homeless pups.
They are quite strict with their adoption process, all the puppies are vaccinated before leaving and they transport any puppies overseas themselves to prevent added stress for the pups.
Any puppies that reach 6 months old are spayed/neutered to prevent more homeless puppies.
I really feel strongly for this charity and what they are doing every day. I can't stop thinking about it.
This is why I am doing the new forest 10 mile run to raise some funds to go towards food, toys, maintenance of the centre, vet care and petrol/diesel.
Every puppy deserves a home. <3
