From 14th - 18th June I will be walking Hadrian's Wall from the East Coast of England to the West Coast.

This is in aid of Meadow Barn View, a CIC based in Leicestershire who support adults with Learning Disabilities and/or Autism. Through skills based activities and vocational opportunities, workmates are supported to reach their full potential, enriching lives, and contributing to the local community.

Workmates develop their skills for independent living and work by tending to their allotment, maintaining the grounds around Meadow Barn View and caring for small animals. A big part of supporting vocactional skills also comes from working in our on-site coffee shop. Meadow Barn View also actively supports our local community by volunteering with local community groups and organisations, encouraging greater social inclusion.

All the money raised will be used to develop and improve our onsite allotment. This encourages and facilitates team work as well as fostering specific transferable skills. All produce grown will be used in the onsite coffee shop The Barn which provides training opportunities for adults with learning disabilities and autism. A welcoming and inclusive setting, The Barn is a space created by all those who it and enjoyed by all those who use it.
