I've raised £1000 to help fund a community First Responder for Wem and North Shropshire and support the Wem Store Cupboard.

As Mayor of Wem I have a target to raise much-needed money to support local community organisations.
Wem Store Cupboard collects surplus food from supermarkets and distributes, free of charge to those in need. The demand for help is constantly growing and funding is vital to support this service which is a critical lifeline for many individuals and families. They also provide tailored support for families and individuals in need, community lunches for the elderly and vulnerable.
Similarly, Wem needs the services of a volunteer Community First Responder, who can respond to 999 calls. The town cannot rely on a speedy response from ambulances and the work of First Responders can literally make the difference between life and death but they are voluntary and rely on fundraising to continue.
Through these causes I aim to support two organisations vital to the community of Wem.
Please help if you can, by donating whatever you can afford. Thank you.
