Story
This is an educational trip to learn more about Geography, Science and Costa Rica as a biodiverse country offering spectacular rainforests and amazing beaches bursting with marine life. We learn about conservation, ecology, endangered species and sustainability. The trip starts in the Monteverde cloud forest working with the researchers and understanding the impact of climate change and monitoring endangered species both plant and animal. Part of the work will be helping the community with reforestation projects. The second part of the trip is working with the Sea Turtle Conservationist and helping the researchers to patrol the beaches and protect the turtle nest sites, working in the turtle hatchery and helping baby turtles to reach the sea once they hatch. We will also visit primary school children to help with educational activities to raise awareness of sea turtle conservation.
