I've raised £8000 to fight Mutiple Sclerosis and show the battle can be won, but we cannot afford the alternative treatments and supplements on our wages alone!

I was diagnosed with MS at the age of 29 after a long period of high stress. It turned my world upside down. This caused me to lose my business, my house and for a long time my mobility. My symptoms included, chronic fatigue, severe imbalance, blurred vision, slurred speech, depression and anxiety, hugely reduce I was brain function, especially memory, very poor cognitive skills and the diagnosis of a disease that is both incurable and degenerative. I partook in a clinical trial for a relatively new drug which can reduce possible relapses but, unfortunately comes with a brain infection side effect called PML that could lead to coma and eventual death. Any recovery had been slow, arduous and with many tears shed by myself and my family. Sometimes the frustration would boil over and relationships were strained. I want to deeply thank those who stood by me in those dark times. A massive turning point came when meeting my new partner. She has been the healing force that has got me back to work, given me the drive and will to reclaim my life and our future together. I am now appealing to you to help us complete this recovery. We have undertaken a much more holistic approach to my health. We follow raw vegan diet and extensive supplement plan. I have found an alternative therapy which comes at a very high cost. The effect we have seen after the second session of this treatment has been massively encouraging. I have not been able to walk down stairs without holding on to the hand rail but can now freestyle all the way! I want to be able to go for walks of more that 10 minutes without having to worry where the nearest toilet is, I want to run, dance and play rugby again. We have seen the light and are striving for it! I now believe that nothing is incurable. It's just going to cost more than I can possibly hope to earn. Your support would be greatly appreciated. I have come along way since diagnosis. I want to control MS without drugs!
