Story

CLIMBING SNOWDON

I feel very lucky as I have been given the opportunity to go to Tanzania to work with local communities to improve their living standards and to make a positive lasting change to their lives. The trip is for 4 weeks with Camps International in the summer of 2019 and has been organized by my school Lacon Childe.

As part of my fundraising for the trip I will be climbing Mount Snowdon during the summer holidays this year and would be very grateful for any sponsors and donations for this amazing cause. This will also be good training as we take part in a mountain trek in Tanzania.

During my time in Tanzania I will be

• Building desks for children who otherwise would be learning on the floor

• Building classrooms to provide the children with safe places to learn

• Digging elephant water holes helping them to survive the dry season

• Making ethical elephant deterrents to protect local farmer’s crop

• Installing fresh water tanks in schools and villages

• Cleaning marine refuse and plastic from the beaches

THANK YOU FOR TAKING THE TIME TO READ MY STORY
