Story
I am George Stevens a 15-year-old young man that has a passion for classical ballet and am a pre-professional elite ballet dancer. I am currently in my 5th year of studying at The Royal Ballet School and love my life/chosen career. Now I have to move on and establish myself in a course (Professional Dancers Diploma and Graduate, the vocational equivalent of a first degree or a foundation/BA Hons top up in Professional Dance and performance) for Years 12 – 14 and fulfil my dreams of becoming a professional dancer.
I have been offered a placement in three schools/conservatoires. I have decided to accept a place on a 3 year degree course in London. I am now looking for donations to help fund my onward success. The costs of this exceeds £20,000 a year (3-year course). My Mum is a single parent, brought myself up while going through a heart condition/heart attack herself, she has coronary heart disease. In my Mums eyes I am her “Billy Elliot.” I started ballet at the age of 8 after watching the film and theatre production, coming out of the show asking my Mum if I could start ballet. Within a year I had won a local festival and the All-England finals for my age bracket. I applied for Royal Ballet Associates where thousands apply and got offered a place on their associate program in Covent Garden, London. In 2017, I auditioned for the prestigious Royal Ballet School, thousands from all over the world applied and at age 11, I got awarded a full-time place, maximum 15 boys per year get through. Every year we have to re audition to keep our place.
I would love to continue my chosen career path, however, myself and my Mum need some help, support and donations. With your help I would have this great opportunity and everyone tells me it would be a waste of talent, hard work and training if I had to stop just because of funding. There is some government funding available for the school I have been offered, however it does not cover all the costs. The Royal Ballet School are happy to confirm any details and so will the school where I am able to accept a placement. References can be given too.
I would love to continue my dance journey. Thanks in advance.

As someone who loves ballet so much yet never got a chance to do it properly, the least I can do is give someone else a chance. Make us proud George.
