Thank you for visiting my crowdfunding page. I'm excited to share that I'm on an adventure of a lifetime with my dad, aiming to become the first father and son to circumnavigate the globe by bicycle! Our official Guinness World Records title attempt will see us pedal over 30,000 kilometres, across 30 countries and 4 continents, ascending the equivalent of 22 Mount Everests.

As we cycle around the world, we are raising money for Bicycle Links, a local social enterprise company based in our home town of Norwich, Norfolk, UK.

Why Bicycle Links?

We have chosen to support this amazing social enterprise because of their incredible selflessness in helping us get our bikes ready for our year-long adventure. Their knowledge, advice and generosity have been humbling. As a community enterprise, Bicycle Links are dedicated to making cycling accessible for all. They are passionate about working to reduce social exclusion and inequality, improving mental and physical health, and being focused on encouraging a sense of community through providing access to low cost bicycles, volunteering opportunities and creating a healthy working environment.

Their aims are:

- To recycle and refurbish second-hand bicycles

- To provide access to low-cost transport to marginalised groups and individuals, including refugees and asylum seekers, children and those on low incomes

- To provide low-pressure learning opportunities to volunteers through their bespoke workshop

- To be a beacon for social inclusion, diversity and equality.

Since their establishment in 2012, Bicycle Links has refurbished and recycled over 8,000 bicycles! Many of these have been provided for little or no cost to thousands of beneficiaries who would otherwise be unable to access this fundamental method of transport. During our numerous visits to Bicycle Link's volunteer workshop we have been touched by the real buzz, friendliness and strong sense of community present there. This is something they are incredibly proud of and is such a crucial part of their identity and how they operate.

Their welcoming, unbiased and low-pressure approach to giving people from a range of backgrounds a chance to gain confidence and skills has resulted in many ex-volunteers securing employment as part of the Bicycle Links team - a truly phenomenal achievement.
